Daughter #2, Lily Claire, joined us on September 11. She was out in a flash and, though she was a little light in the diaper, is otherwise the picture of health.
Mom is doing well and will be home with Lily until the holidays. Daughter #1, Avery, has taken to big sisterhood like a religious calling. She comforts Lily when she cries, covers her with a blanket (while telling us earnestly, “baby sister cold — cover up with blanket!”), and is generally loving and curious about the new housemate.
Winston, true to form, is equal parts Woody Allen-nervous and John Goodman lazy.
